Common Causes

Step-by-Step Fixes


Solution 1: Uninstall Update KB971033

  1. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features

  2. Click View installed updates

  3. Find KB971033

  4. Right-click and Uninstall

  5. Restart your PC


Solution 2: Reactivate Windows via Command Line

  1. Click Start, type cmd

  2. Right-click Command Prompt, choose Run as administrator
