How to connect Brother printer with wifi ? Default Printers Settings

 








To connect your Brother printer to Wi-Fi using the printer's control panel, follow the exact step-by-step instructions below (for models with a screen, like Brother DCP, MFC, HL, or similar):


✅ Step-by-Step: Connect Brother Printer to Wi-Fi (Using Printer Screen)

๐Ÿ–จ️ Step 1: Turn on the Printer

  • Plug in your Brother printer.

  • Turn it ON using the power button.


๐ŸŒ Step 2: Access the Wireless Setup Menu

  1. Press the Menu or Settings button on the printer.

  2. Use the arrow keys (▲/▼) to scroll to:

    nginx
    Network

    Press OK.

  3. Scroll to:

    nginx
    WLAN

    Press OK.

  4. Select:

    nginx
    Setup Wizard

    Press OK.


๐Ÿ“ก Step 3: Select Wi-Fi Network (SSID)

  • The printer will search for nearby wireless networks.

  • A list of Wi-Fi names (SSIDs) will appear.

  • Use the arrow keys to select your Wi-Fi name.

  • Press OK.

  • You will be prompted to enter your Wi-Fi password.

  • Use the keypad to type the password:

    • Press each number key multiple times to get letters (like SMS typing)

    • For example: Press 2 to get A, B, or C

If it asks “Apply Settings?”, select Yes.


✅ Step 5: Wait for Connection

  • The printer will now try to connect.

  • If successful, it will show:

    Connected.
  • You may also see a Wi-Fi icon or green light appear.

You can print a Network Configuration Page:

  1. Go to Menu > Print Reports > Network Config > OK

  2. It will print a sheet showing the printer's IP address and Wi-Fi status
